A Day Out at Blackbrook Zoo #Country Kids

Today it was another lovely sunny day so we decided to use our recent Groupon Deal for tickets to Blackbrook Zoological Park which is situated in the beautiful Staffordshire countryside, an hour from our home.

Blackbrook Zooloogical Park is home to over 300 species of bird.  It was lovely to see lots of baby peacocks free roaming around the park!  There were also some meerkats, warty pigs, giant tortoises, deer and wallabies to look at in their enclosures.  Our favourite bird was the dinosaur like Cassowary with its clawed feet and horny head.  Kizzy liked the spoonbills who shared an enclosure with the flamingos.  They must have been pinching the flamingos' food because a few of them were developing a pink hue which was very pretty.

We spent a few hours wandering around and enjoyed a nice lunch in Scarlet, their tea room, where we also had our cream trees which were part of the Groupon Deal.  There was a lovely playground with Little Tikes toys for the little ones.
