How I got £200 of Christmas shopping for free with Swagbucks

In October, I decided that I really needed to get on top of my Christmas planning. With so much to do and with time pressing on, I needed make a start on my Christmas shopping. Money is always spread thin at this time of year, and so my mind cast back to the success I had had with Swagbucks a few years ago in a Thrifty Blogger Challenge that I'd taken part in.

Swagbucks is a free to join website where you can earn vouchers for doing things online. From taking surveys, to watching videos, to searching the web, to taking part in special offers to shopping online, you earn Swagbucks that can be exchanged for vouchers for shops such as Argos, Amazon and Currys. Swagbucks have been rated the #1 site to make money online by MSE and have given away over $350 of rewards globally. There is good money to be made for dedicating a little time to the Swagbucks site each day.

So for the last ten weeks I have been doing daily Swagbucking. As someone who spends a lot of time online, it's easy to incorporate Swagbucks into my daily routine. I've taken daily surveys, watched lots of videos (mostly film trailers) and  used the Swagbucks site to search the internet. I've done a few special offers, taken part in promotions and completed some of my Christmas shopping through the site, earning a percentage of my spending back in Swagbucks cashback.

Each day, Swagbucks gives a daily target, which I use to motivate myself. Meeting the targets earn you bonuses. These really add up over the month. Some days I smash these targets, other days can be slow, but I always persevere.  I have the app on my mobile too so I can use Swagbucks on the go if I'm away from home, which is particularly helpful for hitting those targets!

I have been absolutely overjoyed to have made £200 in Amazon vouchers in just over two months. This has covered a huge chunk of my Christmas spending. As well as doing Swagbucks for myself, I recommended it to my daughter (who is away at university) and my niece (who is getting married next year and trying to save money), who both benefited from earning some extra cash for Christmas shopping. They both earned in excess of £100 each. Knowing I helped them pay for pressies has made me feel so happy! As I referred them, I earned a referral bonus, boosting my own total. So sharing the Swagbucks secret benefits both you and your friends.

You can find out about the latest promotions on the Swagbucks UK Facebook page, on the blog and via email, so you can stay one step ahead when it comes to earning those valuable Swagbucks.

From Wednesday to Friday this week, Swagbucks have a huge promotion on their online shopping. The cashback is being quadrupled, making the site the most generous cashback site out there! So simply by shopping for any last minute Christmas gifts online at your favourite stores such as Argos, Boots, The Body Shop, M & S or AO.com, you will earn a top rate of cashback. Holiday companies such as Thomson and First Choice also offer generous rates of cashback, great for anyone planning their summer holidays. So today is a great time to start your Swagbucks journey.

If you want to take a look at Swagbucks and sign up (just an email and password required) you can use my referral link here: http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/wendymcd83 or click through the banners. You can earn some spending money for the January sales!

The Swagbucks Challenge Is Over

For the last few weeks I have been battling it out in the Tots 100 Swagbucks Challenge and I am really happy to announce that I am the winner!  It wasn't easy, but with some dedication and a bit of effort I earned over 19,000 Swagbucks which equates to over £100 in Amazon vouchers!  Not bad going for about half an hour to an hour a day whilst I was online, filling out surveys and watching videos.  As the challenge winner I win an extra £250 on top of the voucher that I earned which is going to be a huge help this Christmas.

Even now the challenge is over, I intend to continue using Swagbucks to earn rewards that I can redeem for vouchers.  I am going to save them up for my Christmas 2013 fund!

Swagbucks really is a great way of earning a little extra just by dedicating a bit of the time you spend online to completing tasks.  A daily survey along with a few extra Swagbucks earned by watching videos, playing games, taking part in polls and doing internet searches using the Swagbucks search engine, allows you to reach your daily target putting you on track to earn valuable rewards.

When other people sign up using your referral link, you get matched points for the Swagbucks that they earn by doing searches.  It is a great way of earning extra Swagbucks and helps build a community where you can share tips and hints which helps everyone get the most out of Swagbucks.  You can sign up using my link at
http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/wendymcd83 and I'd be happy to help anyone out to get started!

I would recommend this reward scheme to anyone who spends time online and who has some spare minutes that they can use to dedicate to earning Swagbucks.  On a good day it is really easy to hit your target and this earns you bonuses.  Some days are not as easy, but every single Swagbuck earned helps your total grow until you can redeem them for rewards such as vouchers for stores such as New Look, M & S or Amazon.

It is free to join Swagbucks so there really is nothing to lose by giving it a go and hopefully earning some extras for your family in the process!

Swagbucks Update - My Warts 'n' All Summary

Today is the last day of the Tots 100 Swagbucks challenge.  I have spent 3 weeks conducting searches, watching videos, filling out surveys, playing games and performing tasks.  I've done some Christmas shopping online and even dabbled with a casino website (never, ever again on that one!!)  For doing all these things, I have been rewarded with enough Swagbucks to add £100 of Amazon vouchers to my Christmas spending fund.  That, by anyone's standards, is pretty easy money!

Sometimes, I'm not going to lie, Swagbucks can be a bit of a pain.  Somedays you get disqualified for every available survey.  Some special offers don't credit.  Some purchases fail to track. However, the customer service is very efficient and nearly every issue I have had has been resolved quickly.  As long as you keep confirmation emails or take screen shots as evidence, Swagbucks earned will be honoured.

There are lots of special offers to get extra Swagbucks which is a great way of getting started, but once you have done all the relevant ones, your potential to earn big quickly goes down.  Unless you like gambling, which is a sure fire way of getting lots of Swagbucks when you sign up and make a deposit to the csasino, bingo or scratchcard sites.  This is not for me though.

I will definitely continue with my Swagbucking, although on a lesser scale.  I will hit my daily targets which basically equates to one survey a day and a few extra bits which will add up to nice rewards throughout the year.  Everytime you hit a target you get a bonus which accumulates and gets credited once a month which is a good way of topping up your total.

Swagbucks UK is still in its early days compared to in America where people are earning huge amounts of Swagbucks and cashing them in for rewards galore.  So getting involved now may prove very lucrative in the long term.

As for the competition, it's still anyone's game.  I am doing well but know that the other challengers could well have lots of points pending which will put them into the winning spot.  Regardless of the end result, I still have a very nice £100 voucher coming my way so I have no complaints!

I definitely recommend Swagbucks to anyone who spends a lot of time online.  It's free to join, it's easy to do and it genuinely earns you rewards.  It takes a bit of effort, but I have genuinely enjoyed some of the more creative surveys I have done.

You can sign up here on my referral link if you want to join the reward scheme.  I'm happy to share tips!

How To Earn Rewards With Swagbucks

I am one of the Tots 100 Swagbuck Bloggers who has been spending the last week earning Swagbucks online by doing surveys, watching videos, doing searches, shopping online and claiming the odd special offer.

So far in just over a week I have accrued  over 8000 SB's which is well on the way to me being able to redeem my total against a £50 voucher for Amazon.  That'll come in handy for Christmas!

Everyday I have checked my dashboard and made a note of my daily target.  By hitting these targets you get bonus points added to your account once a month.  Taking a survey a day (which can take up to 25 minutes to complete and can be frustrating if you get disqualified part way through) will give you the bulk of your target.  So trying to find a trusted survey to do daily is a good way of earning regular Swagbucks.  Other SBs can be earned by watching videos on Swagbucks TV.  Most videos are very short and some are actually really entertaining so it's not a problem to watch them (I've watched a fair few Hunny Boo Boo videos!)  Using Swagbucks as a search engine rewards you with bonus points periodically which is an easy way of getting SB's whilst doing searches for what you normally look for online.  The amount you get and how often you are rewarded is random, and sometimes Swagbucks does a special promotion where you can win big!

The Special Offers section gives you some ways of earning SB's for taking up promotions from other companies.  For example, if you fancy playing online bingo you can sign up and get SB's for doing so.  There are also links to some shops which reward you for creating a account and making a purchase.

The Shop and Earn section rewards you for buying from stores such as The Body Shop and Argos giving a number of SB's per pound spent.  This is useful at this time of year.  I got some goodies for my girls from the Body Shop online and by clicking through the link on the Swagbuck's site, I earned SB's for my shopping!

Referrals are a good way to get SB's as you get matched points (up to 1000 SB's)  for SB's earned through searches.  But to benefit you really need your referrals to be active and doing daily searches.

Liking the Facebook page and following the Twitter feed is a good way of finding out handy tips, bonus codes and special offers to boost your balance, plus you get to chat to like minded money savers, enter discussions and take part in fun competitions!  Other members often post when special codes are published or give information on good deals so it's well worth checking it out.

My experience so far is mostly very positive and I am enjoying hitting my daily targets.  It gives me a sense of Swagbucking satisfaction!  The total I have raised so far is very impressive and the rewards are really worthwhile.

If you want to sign up to Swagbucks you can sign up here using my referral code.  I'll be more than happy to pass on tips to get you going and hopefully you will be able to earn some extra spends for Christmas too!

Earning Extra For Christmas With Swagbucks

I am one of the twelve bloggers who have agreed to take part in the Swagbucks Christmas Challenge with Tots 100.  We are being pitted against one another in a battle to earn the most Swagbucks before December 14th to win a £250 voucher!  Exciting stuff - I love a good challenge!

Up until a few days ago I'd never heard of Swagbucks.  It is an online rewards programme that allows you to earn Swagbucks for completing tasks online such as playing games, watching videos, carrying out surveys or simply doing your shopping!  SB's can be redeemed for shopping vouchers, gifts or even as charity donations.  Swagbucks is also a search engine and you can use it to search the internet.  Doing so rewards you with random Swagbucks pay outs.  You can also find special codes online to get extra SBs and join in with their Facebook page to win bonus points.

Swagbucks is huge in the US where users have earned lots of rewards for doing the sort of things they normally do online. They have paid out over $26m in rewards since 2007!  Now it's launched in the UK, it's our turn to reap the benefits of this site.  Thrifty internet users can easily clock up a heap of Swagbucks that they can swap for vouchers for Amazon, HMV or iTunes.  Every little helps and I'm looking forward to giving my family some extra treats with the Swagbucks I accrue.

One way of earning Swagbucks is through referrals.  So if you want to help me in this challenge, as well as setting up your own FREE Swagbucks account please click through here to set yourself up an account and start earning your own Swagbucks:  http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/wendymcd83

The website is full of ways of earning SBs and it is a little addictive, if like me you love the idea of getting vouchers for Amazon for free.  Watching your total go up is really quite a thrill!

Over the next three weeks I'll be keeping you all updated with my progress and sharing tips and hints to how you can boost your balance.  We can have our own Swagbucks community of thrifty bloggers!  So please join me and let's get earning.

I am being given some extra Swagbucks for taking part in this challenge!
