Joanna Page is set to return to our screens as the voice of the amazing orange Poppy Cat in the second series of the colourful, fun and adventure-filled show for pre-schoolers. Every weekday from 8th September at 9 am on Nick Jr, Little ones will be able to join in with Zuzu, Mo, Alma, Egbert, Owl and of course Poppy Cat, as they embark on some more imaginative and exciting escapades.
This series introduces over fifty new characters such as Ozzy the octopus, Charles the blue whale and Ernie the platypus! In season 2, Poppy Cat and her friends travel in aeroplanes, pirate ships, hot air balloons and rockets while exploring some amazing new places such as Chocolate Falls, Gloppy Ponds and Wooly Woods. Children are encouraged to use their imaginations to solve puzzles and discover the world around them, as Poppy Cat makes everyday adventures extraordinary.

The UK’s leading woodland conservation charity, the Woodland Trust, is partnering with the Nick Jr's Poppy Cat, to launch an outdoor campaign for pre-schoolers with an adventure platform for its VisitWoods website for one month from 19thApril 2013.
VisitWoods.org.uk hosts information on over 11,000 UK woods that are open to the public. Poppy Cat content has been created for the site with downloadable activity materials focusing on ‘Mystery Trail Adventures’ - especially for children aged 2-6 years to engage them during family outings to the woods. Now Spring has finally sprung it is the perfect time to venture out on a woodland family adventure.
Simone Ashley-Norman, Woodland Trust, says, “You are never too young to visit a wood and our partnership with Poppy Cat will enable families across the country to get outdoors this spring and make the most of our beautiful native woodlands. VisitWoods.org.uk makes finding and visiting woods as straightforward as possible, for all ages and abilities, so there’s no excuse to stay indoors!”

Poppy Cat continues to be a much loved character in our house with the gorgeous books and the Nick Jr TV show, so when Freddy was sent a Talking Poppy Cat Soft Toy he was most pleased. We love Poppy Cat here Inside the Wendy House. Gavin and Stacey star Joanna Page has taken on an animation role to win the hearts and minds of pre-schoolers across the UK, voicing Poppy Cat in the new CITV and ITV1 pre-school series. Poppy Cat will air every Saturday and Sunday on both channels from 5th May at 7am.
Poppy Cat is based on the award-winning book series created by Lara Jones that has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide since first being published in 2003. The series features 26 eleven minute episodes involving stories of friendship and fantasy play as seen through the eyes of Poppy's owner, a little girl called Lara. Each story is a celebration of adventure as Poppy Cat and her friends embark on fanciful journeys through fantastical lands.

We are enjoying watching Poppy Cat together. Lara's narration tells the story, which then springs to life. 2 year old Freddy is totally engaged by the colourful characters and the gentle animation. The adventures are very imaginative and I love the way Poppy and her friends work together to sort things out. The attention to detail makes it visually appealing and Freddy giggled at the funny antics of Poppy, Alma and the gang. The episodes are just the right length of time to hold a toddler's attention. Kizzy is 8, but Poppy Cat was one of her favourites when she was younger when she had the Poppy Cat's Happy Day board book. She is enjoying sharing her love of Poppy with her little brother.
