It's a place for snuggling.  A place for cuddling.  Somewhere to do homework or read a book.  A place to relax, or to play or listen to music.  Somewhere for a bed time story.  A place to hang out.  Somewhere for a nap.  A family place.  A happy place.

Our Harveys Furniture Store Clarissa Sofa is ALL these things!

After a month it is a favourite place in our house.  It still looks pristine.  The seats and arms are still plump and comfortable.  We love it!

Revamping My Living Space With Harveys

It's a couple of weeks since we took delivery of our Harvey's Clarissa Sofa which I wrote about here!  Finding out that I was going to be trialling Harvey's furniture as a reviewer, meant I had to think about how the sofa was going to fit into our home.  Our dining room had become a bit under used recently.  We had a huge six seater table and chairs that was a bit too big for the room.  We were thinking of turning the room into a snug and finding out that we were getting a Harvey's Sofa was just the push we needed.

We have created a room to relax in, for me to work in and for the kids to use when they have friends over.  I love having the extra room to use away from the TV where Kizzy is usually watching re-runs of Hannah Montana!  Teenager Ella has had a lot of use out of this room already. She uses it as a music room where she plays her guitar.

The sofa still looks as good as the day it arrived. It is exquisitely comfy with oversized soft seating which is great to snuggle into. Plumping up the cushions keeps it all in good shape and rolling a lint roller over it keeps the pile looking neat and stops any loose fluff that can occur on new furniture.

Freddy enjoys chilling out on it.  It is much comfier and cosier than our living room sofa.  Sometimes, having a change around gives a whole new lease of life to your living space.  Take a look at Harveys online to get some inspiration for re-vamping your home!

I'm Reporting On A Sofa From Harveys The Furniture Store

After my amazing adventure as a Harveys' Corrie Blogger at the Ideal Home Show, I was incredibly honoured to be given the opportunity to do some more work with Harveys as a Furniture Tester!

I was offered use of an ex-display Clarissa Sofa that was used at the show to test Inside the Wendy House.  (We had no say in the design, make, model or colour but luckily Harveys shared my taste and the sofa we received was not a luminous green PVC one as I feared it could be!)

I was very impressed with the customer service leading up to the delivery today.  We were allocated a 3 hour delivery slot which was texted to us.  Prior to the lorry arriving we were given a call from the delivery men so we were ready for them.

I loved the Coronation Street sign on the side reminding us that Harveys are their proud sponsor!!

The two delivery guys were great.  They used matting to protect my laminate flooring and put the sofa exactly where we wanted it.  They unwrapped it and took away the rubbish.  We were given a few care tips too, which was very thoughtful.  As it was an ex-display model it already had the feet on it so needed no construction.

Ian tested out the comfort factor and gave it a huge thumbs up!!  He is 6ft 1" so you can see what a good size the sofa is. It is a modern, casual design with a soft-to-the-touch fabric that invites you to sink in and relax. It is luxurious!

Our sofa is available in russet, black, slate and coffee.  It is available as a two-seater, three-seater , sofa bed, chair and footstool and would be a perfect addition to any room.

Kizzy was very comfy nestled into the sofa.  She said it was "very soft!"   We are going to enjoy testing it out to see how it fares up to daily use.  I will make sure I relax in it regularly....all in the name of my duty as a Harveys Furniture Tester of course!

A Makeover for Ken Barlow!

The Ideal Home Show is kicking off of Earl's Court tomorrow.  I am incredibly excited that I am going to be attending as a VIP guest of Harveys Furniture Store!  Harveys are the sponsors of Coronation Street and this year one of the highlights of the show is the recreation of No 1 Coronation Street aka Chez Barlow.  For the first time ever the house is getting a facelift!

TV presenter and architect George Clarke will be modernising Corrie's favourite abode with a glass extension and a loft conversion...what would the neighbours think!  It would certainly get Eileen's tongue wagging wouldn't it!

The remodernisation of this iconic dwelling will certainly be interesting for Corrie fans.  I will have exclusive access to the new design as well as getting to meet gorgeous George and two fantastic, huge Corrie Stars.  I can't wait!

The show runs from the 11th to the 27th of March at Earl's Court.  It's well worth a visit and is a great family day out with more than 600 exhibitors, demonstrations, unique shopping opportunities and lots of celebrity guests.
