Super Smoocher Lavera Lipstick Review...Pucker Up Naturally!!

Last month I reviewed a selection of Super Smoocher's amazing lip balms.  I was bowled over by the company's ethos, the products, the prices and the wonderful attentive service.  You can read all about it here.

I was approached to test a Lavera Trend Sensitiv Beautiful Lips Lipstick, so I excitedly checked out the site to pick out my choice of colour.  They are available in ten rich, vibrant shades from the lush sounding Peach Amber to the exotic Sunset Orange.  I chose Golden Kiss...it sounded perfect...I want my lips to be totally kissable and smoochable after all!

My lipstick arrived individually wrapped in tissue paper as is customary for Super Smoocher purchases.  It never fails to delight me, unwrapping the tantalising little package to discover what lies beneath.

The lipstick case looked really classy, black with silver detail and a transparent end to the lid.  The lipstick itself was embossed with the company name 'Lavera'.  It simply shouted out quality!  The colour was vibrant and totally lived up to its name "Golden Kiss"!  It looked similar to the high end cosmetic ranges you see on the high street, so choosing a natural alternative didn't mean having to compromise on style.

The lipstick felt rich and creamy to apply.  It had a lovely natural fragrance that was reminiscent of chocolate (thanks to the Shea Butter). It gave a vibrant shimmer of colour with a lush, moisturising sheen.  It tasted natural and I was 100% confident that I was not consuming anything harmful or unnatural when I licked my lips. 

I wore my lipstick out on a lunch date.  My date, a.k.a. my lovely husband, was very complimentary and he loved the golden shimmer.  I was incredibly impressed by how well the lipstick lasted on my lips.  It wasn't greasy so didn't bleed or smear.  My lips still felt lovely and moisturised by the end of  the afternoon.  I can honestly say that this is the best lipstick I have ever used.

When my goodies arrived I was instantly seduced by the loveliness of Super Smoocher.  Each product was individually wrapped in tissue paper with a sprinkle of shiny red heart confetti.  Beautiful attention to detail.  This is definitely a company that cares about its customers.

I received a Crazy Rumors Coffee Bean Lip Balm.  Instantly I was impressed.  Coffee is one of my favourite flavours and fragrances.  It instantly conjured up thoughts of Starbucks and a tall Blended Cream Mocha.  Mmmm!  "A coffee break for your lips!" The traditional stick of balm smells divine.  It goes on smoothly and the flavour is authentic and rich. It is 100% cruelty free and vegan, made with moisturizing organic shea butter and soothing organic jojoba oil.  My lips felt soft and had a nice sheen.   I am absolutely in love with this lip balm and at just £2.76 , it is affordable, long lasting luxury for your lips.

The Burt's Bees Radiance Lip Shimmer Stick is a longer, thinner tube with a twist-up action giving you an all-natural balm containing beeswax with a hint of shimmer.  It can be worn on its own or layered with your favourite lipstick for shimmery, radiant lips.  It was lovely to apply and had a hint of natural mint flavouring.  It made your lips feel a little bit tingly!  The lip shimmer is also available with a kiss of colour which higlight your lips with "natural luminescent earth pigments".  At £4.70 each they are a lovely addition to your make-up bag giving a 100% natural, vegetarian and cruelty free shimmer to your lips. "Eat it off, kiss it off, talk it off.  Re-apply!"

The Pin Up Peppermint Twist Lip Balm came in the most adorable little metal tin with an illustrated slide off lid.  It had a pin-up girl riding a polar bear on it...very cute!  (Think Kat Von D's pin-up tattoos!) The balm was quite solid so I needed a few applications to feel like I had applied enough.  The peppermint was very mild.  I think this will be the longest lasting of the three lip balms I tested and the tin would fit into anybody's handbag and look gorgeous!  Being in a tin there is no chance of it snapping or breaking, which is a consideration...my lip balm loving 8 year old has a history of overwinding them and snapping them off!  At £3.35 it is a great accessory as well as a naturally moisturising balm to nourish your lips.
