How Much Fun Can You Have With A Milk Bottle!

There is a whole new breed of milk bottle on the market.  Through years of research and development, Nampak has created a new Infini Bottle which is lightweight, super strong and better for the environment giving out fewer carbon emissions.

Nampak

The bottle really is very light but it doesn't compromise on strength, so it will handle whatever the family throw at it at breakfast time, ensuring they'll be no crying over spilt milk!   We were sent a bottle to see for ourselves how strong and light it is, plus we were given some extras to make a fun ball catching game!  You can re-use your milk bottle and have some fun before consigning it to the recycling bin!

How To Make a Milk Bottle Ball Catching Toy

Simply cut your bottle in half and decorate the top half with stickers.
Tie a ball to a piece of string and secure it inside using the bottle lid.
Try to catch the ball in the bottle!

(The bottom of the bottle can also be used as a handy storage pot or a plant pot!)

It's a great way to re-use your household waste before recycling it and is a fun project for the kids to do over half term.

We're A MakeDo Family

Ever since our council did away with the cardboard kerbside recycling, we have ended up with a box mountain in our kitchen until Ian does the weekly trek to the dump.

recycling

Surely there is something that we can do with our cardboard stockpile before it gets disposed of?  There must be something fun that we can do to make this situation more bearable!

Makedo may just have the answer!

Makedo turns any household junk into modelling material allowing you to create constructions as adventurous as your imagination allows.  It offers ideas for projects for using your old cardboard packaging and other household junk.

Makedo's connector system allows you to easily join together card and other materials to make models big and small.  The clips and hinges are really cleverly designed and easy to use.  The kits also include a safe plastic saw and sticker kit.  We were sent a London Tube kit and some extra Freeplay packs to inspire us to make our own creations.

Ian and Freddy set to work and decided to make a locomotive train rather than the tube train because Fred wanted a funnel!  Between them they sawed, clipped and stuck stickers on their train.  They had a lot of fun together and the train they built was big enough for Freddy to drive and had room for his sister's dolls to take  a ride too.

When Freddy has finished playing with it, we can simply remove the re-usable clips and recycle the cardboard.  There is no tape or glue used in the construction so it is simple to dispose of responsibly.

Makedo is an environmentally friendly way to enjoy crafting and can be played with again and again.  The possibilities are endless and allow imaginative and creative play!

We are enjoying being a Makedo family!

What's Rubbish?

We've been sent Orchard Toys What's Rubbish? game to review on behalf of Izziwizzi Kids for #playfest!
It's a game for 2-4 players aged 5-10 years old, which is based on recycling.  The idea of the game is to collect cans, bottles, clothing and paper to put into your Recycling Bins while avoiding the litter bugs!  Things that can not be recycled end up in the fabulous 3D wheelie bin.  It's a fun game which carries an important message!  Here is our video review.

It is available from Orchard Toys for £11.50.
