Stone Gargoyle #Project 52

This handsome chap has sat on my drive for quite a few years now.  So familiar is he, that I had stopped noticing him completely.  Recently however, Freddy has discovered him and has been intrigued by him,  which has in turn reminded me to pay more attention to our trusty stone gargoyle who has sat guard outside our house.  Come rain, snow or shine, he has maintained his position.  I felt he deserved to be the subject of a photograph on my blog and so this week's Project 52 is dedicated to the little monster who lives on my doorstep.

Gardens2You Cast Iron Ornaments

Recently we were lucky enough to win a Facebook competition with Gardens2You.

I wrote:

"When a butterfly flutters by it fills me with such pleasure,
A beautiful piece of living art, nature's lovely treasure.

My little poem won me a Cast Iron Rusty Look Butterfly Garden Ornament.  (I know it's no Shakespeare sonnet but I was very proud to have won!!) 

It was a sweet little ornament that would look great amongst plants or can be wall mounted.
