Box of OMG and Box of Awseome Review #totallyomg

When our Mega Box of OMG and Mega Box of Awesome arrived, Freddy and Kizzy couldn't wait to get stuck in to find out what treats were inside.  Filled with goodies from top brands such as HARIBO, Plasticine and Nickelodeon, the boxes are packed with things such as stickers, trading cards, toys, sweets and books.  They are great for keeping the kids entertained in the school holidays!

Freddy had a Mega Box of Awesome.  He was instantly delighted to find Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Skylanders and Predasaurs DNA Fusion items among the goodies inside.

The Odd Squad Bully Bait by Michael Fry was a great freebie to find in the Mega Box of Awesome. Although he is a bit young for it now, we'll keep it on his bookshelf for him.  It's a great book to get boys reading.

Kids are always happy to find a treat size pack of HARIBO Starmix to munch on!  Finding one in his Box of Awesome went down very well.

The Predasaurs DNA Fusion pack featured a Stegasaurus/Triceratops hybrid toy, which Freddy thought was really cool.

The Plasticine Squidgems pack was brilliant.  It contained Plasticine, cardboard accessories and instructions needed to make Raphael one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  It was a great activity and of course the Plasticine can be re-used again and again.

The Box of Awesome was definitely a big hit with Freddy filled with things he loved.

What's Inside the Box of OMG and Box of Awesome?

The Box of Awesome and the Box of OMG are free bi-monthly boxes, delivered straight to thousands of homes across the country. Their aim is to help really fun brands connect with kids in the current digital market. The box is full of awesome stuff, including a book, trading cards, toys and accessories, curated by team.

You can apply to get your own boxes delivered directly to your door, or guarantee delivery by becoming a VIP for just 62p a week.  The boxes really put a smile on the recipient's faces with all the surprises it contains.

We were sent a Box of Awesome and a Box of OMG so we could have a peek at what was inside.  The Box of Awesome is aimed at boys and contains loads of goodies that kids will love.

Inside, there were Match Attax, Star Wars, Zombie Zity and Doctor Who collectible cards.  There was a Halo figure and a Vampire Spy book along with lots of other bits and bobs.  A sample of Skwooshi was also included.   Freddy loved the Halo character which came in a blind pack and he enjoyed looking at all the collectible cards.

The Box of OMG contains girly stuff and included a Zelfs character and poster, a Drummer Girl book, shoelaces, scented wristbands, a £5 Nickelodeon gift card, some Moshi Monsters cards and stickers and a sample of Skwooshi.  There were also some information on digital downloads and a sticker.  The book alone was worth £7.99!

Join the Something Special Twitter Party!

Golden Bear will be launching the full new collection of Something Special toys this autumn. The exciting new Mr Tumble toys and accessories, inspired by the hit CBeebies show will be a hit with any little fans!

Something Special features the much loved presenter Justin Fletcher, together with his alter-ego Mr Tumble. The show encourages children to explore the world around them and incorporates the use of Makaton, a recognised form of communication using signs and symbols, as well as rhymes and songs, to encourage and develop language in a fun and exciting way.

In autumn 2013 the full new collection of toys will be available for all to enjoy and will include some wonderful new products. New additions to the range include the Something Special Mr Tumble Textured Spotty Bag and the Aunt Polly Tea Party Puzzle, which comes with eight brightly coloured chunky pieces..

Also new for 2013 is the Mr Tumble Interactive Toy with special features including a light up nose, opening waistcoat and spotty bag. Children can also press Mr Tumble’s hand to hear fun phrases and sounds. The Mr Tumble Soft Toy interacts by responding to the child with a series of Mr Tumble noises and recognisable phrases. The Mr Tumble Pick ‘N’ Match pairs game and Mr Tumble Stick-on Felts will also be available.

Each toy in Golden Bear’s Something Special range comes in packaging with Makaton signs that relate to the product. If they wish to, parents can also use these signs with their children to further enhance the toy and the Something Special experience.
