Slither.io Toy Range

Slither.io is a game that has taken the internet by storm, with the app being downloaded over 150 million times. 124 million games are played each month in the UK with 60% of British kids under the age of 14 having downloaded it. Slither.io has been a huge influencer on YouTube with many famous vloggers doing videos of the game on their channels. The ever growing, colourful Slithers are an iconic gaming phenomenon.

Now fans of the game can enjoy the characters off screen too with the release of the Slither.io range of toys. The super cool and instantly recognisable collectible toys feature the skins found in the award winning game, with many different ones to collect including ultra rare, patriotic and rainbow versions.

The bendable Slither figures are approximately 14cm in length and come in blister packs of three (including one mystery Slither) and blind bags containing a single mystery Slither. They have body segments making then bendy, and they have a cute little face. There are 15 skins to collect in Series 1, in varying colours and designs.

The Slither bendable plush soft toy is cute and cuddly. They come in a range of designs and are 8" long. They are lovely for hugging and have a detailed, expressive, embroidered face.

The Mini Mystery Squishie Slither comes in a sealed hexagonal tub. There are 15 designs including two rare and one ultra rare to collect. You don't know which one you'll find inside.

Freddy is 8 and a big fan of the Slither.io game and YouTube videos so he was extremely excited to discover this range of toys. Like most children of his age, Freddy also loves collectible toys, making them a huge hit. He was thrilled to find a rare purple Slither in his blind bag. He is planning on using his Slithers to make a stop motion animation!

Awesome Little Green Men - collectible toy soldiers

Kids have enjoyed playing with toy soldiers for generations, from the lead soldiers that my own dad used to play with to the Toy Story style soldiers that my son Freddy has.

Awesome Little Green Men is the brand new collectible toy to hit the UK, and its fresh approach infuses battle game play with the collecting of unique characters to bring the toy soldier genre into a whole new age. There are 100 figures to collect in Series 1 including four super rare characters in both green and blue armies.

Each individual soldier has its own expression, weapon or vehicle and has unique stats, allowing players to build the strongest troops to win battles. The figures are cartoonesque and quirky with oversized heads and helmets.

We received two sets: the blue Marksmen Squad and green Ranger Unit. Each includes four soldiers, one of which comes in a blind, top secret box and one in a rare vehicle, along with four dog tags on a chain. There is also a collector's poster and a game guide in each pack.

Basic gameplay is quite simple. You set up your armies on a smooth surface about six feet apart, using the soldiers in formation to protect and guard a chosen object. Soldiers each have a number of power points printed on their bottom, so you can build an equal army to your opponent. You then use a coin as a slider, which you flick up the battlefield to march your soldier forward or to attack your opponent. The aim is to capture your opponent's guarded object. Each soldier has a number of hit points and when they have been used up, your opponent can capture that soldier.

It's a fun game to play, but if you prefer simply being a collector, the soldiers each have their own appeal with names such as Colonel Sonic, Captain Quiver, Sergeant Sure-Shot, Major Attack and Private Matters and each have their own individual personalities. Disney Crossy Road Toy Review

Crossy Road is the iconic game, where you try to cross a busy road without getting splatted by oncoming vehicles. Whereas the original game featured a chicken, the Disney version stars favourite classic Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Buzz Lightyear and Daisy Duck, trying to get across the road. Based on the Disney Crossy Road game app, Character Options has released a collection of mini figures and plush toys.

The Disney Crossy Road toys are made to look pixelated like the game characters and are great to collect, swap, display and play with. There are over 40 mini figures in the Series 1 range including Mickey and friends and characters from Toy Story, Big Hero 6 and Lion King. They are a new way to enjoy your favourite Disney characters.

Freddy was sent a plush Simba figure (£9.99), a Mini Figure 4 Pack (£10.99) and two Mystery Figure packs (£3.49).  The Mini Figure 4 pack has three visible figures and one hidden mystery figure. The Mystery Figure single packs come boxed so it's a completely blind choice.

Like most 7 year olds, Freddy loves collectible toys. He enjoys opening the mystery packs to try to find the characters he wants and likes to display his collection in his bedroom. The Disney Crossy Road toys combine the fun of collecting with our love of all things Disney, which makes them extra special!

Each character comes with its own rarity rating status such as classic, rare, epic, secret, legendary and limited edition. This makes collecting them all the more fun, as you try to complete your collection while hunting down the super limited edition metallic figurines.

The mini figurines are designed to be really simple, like an 8-bit pixelated game character, yet the attention to detail is spot on. From Goofy's teeth to Woody's hat, the essence of each character is perfectly captured. Each comes with its own plastic stand making them easy to display.

Fun at the Num Nums Bella Italia Event

Freddy has always enjoyed playing with little collectible toys, the kind that come in mystery blind packs. This includes his latest favourites, Num Noms, the cute collection of stackable, scented toys. Now on Num Noms Series 2, there are so many different varieties and flavour combinations available, the fun just keeps growing!

We were invited to attend a Num Noms event at Bella Italia in Cheshire Oaks and we were delighted to go along and join in with the fun. Aside from a mountain of Num Noms toys to play with, Freddy had a wonderful time getting Num Noms painted onto his arm, taking part in a 'smell' challenge, designing his own Num Nom and making his own yummy pizza and ice cream sundae.

He spent a lovely few hours immersed in all things Num Noms and had a great time! The wacky craze is so cute and colourful, bringing the scents of different foods to life and Bella Italia was an awesome venue to showcase Series 2 that includes the Pizza flavoured Num Noms.

Num Noms Series 2 - unboxing and review

The second series of Num Noms, the stackable, scented, crazy and cute collectibles have hit the UK! The range includes some savoury scented characters such as pizza, sushi, diner and brunch Num Noms, alongside some brand new fairground foods, ice cream, cup cake, jelly bean and freezie pops flavoured Num Noms. Each soft, squidgie Num pairs up with a Nom, which can be an eraser, a scented stamp, a lip gloss or a motorised base. Perfect for mixing and matching to create your own wacky flavour combinations. There are now over 5000 mix and match scented combos to make!

Mystery Blind Packs are £2.99 and include a mystery scented Num and either a stamp or lip gloss Nom. Num Noms Starter Packs are £8.99 and include three Nums and a motorised go-go Nom plus an accessory and a menu card. The Deluxe Pack contains six Nums (one is a mystery Num), two motorised Noms, a food container, accessory and menu and costs £14.99. Freddy got to try out two blind packs and a freezie pop flavoured starter pack. The new Freezie Pop characters have scents such as Strawberry Pop, Tropi-Cali, Grape Soda Pop and Icy Berry and are made of a colourful, see through material that looks frozen. They come with a freezie pop container and a spoon for added fun.

The blind packs contain a mystery Nom and a Num. We got M.Mallow from the Cupcake Nums collection and Sugar Puffs from the Fair Food Nums collection along with a cherry and S'mores gloss-up. Freddy was hoping for a stamp-it Nom, but will at least now have very moisturised scented lips!

Num Noms - scented, stackable and collectible!

Num Noms are the latest collectible toy to hit the UK market. The colourful, mix and match squishy Nums are cute little characters, based on ice creams or cup cakes, that are stackable and scented. You can get both motorized Noms and Lip Gloss Noms, which are again cute and scented and combine with the Nums to make fragrant treats. The motorized Noms whizz around at the press of a button with a Num on their back adding an element of fun to the toy. The lip gloss Nom contains a scented balm, which is nice to use. Cone, spoon and cup accessories are also available, allowing you to stack your Nums and Noms in a combination of fun, flavoursome creations. Meet The Latest My Blue Nose Friends

There are four new additions to the My Blue Nose Friends family.  The lovable, beautifully made collectable soft toys bring the total in the collection up to 135.  Each has the trademark blue nose along with some patchwork detail.

Soprano is a Shetland Pony who loves to sing and believes everything is better in harmony.

Denzil is a chilled out Komodo Dragon who stays cool, even when the heat is on.
