Reasons to be Cheerful 1, 2, 3

It's that time again when Michelle from Mummy From the Heart invites us to find three reasons to be cheerful.  The perfect antidote to a damp January morning!

1:  Kizzy, my divine 8 year old, has made me totally laugh this morning.  Dad bought her a rather fabulous retro rock AC/DC T-Shirt (no Justin Bieber in our house!!) which she has been wearing with pride.  Our belief that we were were nurturing a rock chick was somewhat shaken however when she announced that she knew that AC/DC was a character in Star Wars!  Bless her...all along, instead of  proudly supporting one of the greatest old school bands, she was thinking that she was extolling the virtues of the love child of C3-PO and R2D2!

2: I have thoroughly enjoyed having my eldest daughter home from uni for Christmas.  So this is a bittersweet reason to be cheerful.  We are taking her home to Manchester this weekend to return to student life, but we've had a lovely few weeks having her back in the fold.  Once she's out of the shower we are heading off to Telford for a Costa Coffee and some shopping.  I love our Mummy/Megan time :)

3: This week's return of Shameless, Glee and True Blood has given me back three of my favourite TV programmes.  Always nice to have some distractions from 'real life'!  Just need the next series of Dexter to air and I'll be completely full of cheer!!

  5. Kids are always great for a laugh aren't they?

My 8yo saw a sticker on a car this morning that said "I am a Mormon". She misread it and asked me...."Mummy, why would someone put a sticker on their car saying they are a moron?"

Needless to say a fairly long list of questions and answers followed. But we're all clear now!

Love all 3 of your reasons to be cheerful this week.
